Jake Palmer Named to D3Football.com All-Region Team

Jake Palmer, a Junior Running Back from Albany, NY was named to the D3Football.com All-Region Third Team.

Palmer was Alfred State's leading rushing yards and touchdowns this season, he racked up 1072 yards on the ground and 15 rushing touchdowns on 201 carries this season. Palmer rushed for over 100 yards in five of the ten games. His top two rushing performances were against Dean College and SUNY Maritime. Against Dean, Palmer tallied 271 yards and three touchdowns on 32 carries. In the season finale against Maritime, Palmer ran for 226 yards and four touchdowns on 37 carries.

Nominations for D3Football.com's all region teams begin shortly after the regular season ends and involves the Sports Information Director at each institution. SIDs are contacted by email and the list is sent to conference offices for vetting before our panel of SIDs and D3football.com staff in each region votes. Players who are first- or second-team all-conference or independents at full Division III members are eligible for nomination.

In 2022, 1,096 players were nominated. All players nominated for All-Region teams are eligible for selection to the D3football.com All-America team later this December.
