Bio

David Baron joined the coaching staff in 2019 work with the defensive line. Baron brings over twenty years of coaching experience to Alfred State.

Baron most recently was the defensive assistant coach focusing on the defensive line at Cuba Rushford Central School. Prior to that he was the head football coach at Bolivar Richburg from 2001-2014. A highlight of his coaching career with the Wolverines was in 2007 when he led the team to the Section V Class D title, advanced to the New York State semifinals, and finished the season with an 11-1 record. Prior to becoming the head coach at B-R, he was the offensive and defensive line coach for the school and he started his coaching career at Gannon University as a defensive line coach from 1998-2000. 

Baron is a currently a special education teacher at Cuba Rushford and has spent numerous years in a similar position at Bolivar Richburg.

He has a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Gannon and a master's degree in special education from the University of Buffalo.
