Reding, Lewis, and Gentile Score in Double Figures vs. Morrisville

Morrisville hit ten 3-pointers and shot 86.4% from the line as they defeated Alfred State 79-66 on Sunday afternoon. The Mustangs improve to 15-3 while the Pioneers are now 9-9.

Alfred State started off fast and held a 15-7 lead eight minutes into the game behind a pair of three-pointers by Ryan Gentile (Spencerport). The Mustangs scored the next eight to tie the game up and continued their run to grab a 26-21 lead with 3:58 left in the half. Morrisville held a 34-28 lead at the half and didn't let the Pioneers re-grab the lead the rest of the way.

Josh Reding (Spencerport) connected on five 3-pointers as he led the team with 19 points. He also passed out five assists. Tahaij Lewis (Rochester/Greece Olympia) finished with a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds and Gentile came off the bench and scored 12. Owen Spencer (Perry) finished with nine and Dante Jordan (New York/Law & Public) finished with seven points and 12 rebounds.

A quartet of Mustangs finished in double figures. Kevin dennis led the way with 19 points and 19 rebounds, Tyrin Miller had 18, Brison Hall had 17, and Lamel Faison chipped in 14. Morrisville was 10 for 26 from the foul line and hit 19 of 22 attempts from the foul line.

The Pioneers hit the road for the final time this year on Wednesday when they travel to SUNY Delhi for a 8 p.m. tip-off with the Broncos.
