Pioneers Drop Game at Bradford

The Alfred State Men's Basketball team traveled to Pitt.- Bradford and lost the AMCC match-up 76-62.

The Pioneers came out of the gates slow, finding themselves in a double-digit deficit 9 minutes into the game. After cutting it down to six, Pitt.- Bradford went on a 7-0 run as the half came to an end 34-21.

The story of the second half was opposite the first. Alfred State came out firing on all cylinders. The Pioneers instantly cut into and took their first lead, 53-52, outscoring Bradford 22-16 in the first 8 minutes of the half. Both teams traded leads and baskets for the next 4 minutes, before Pitt.- Bradford went on a scoring run taking the lead and holding it for the remainder of play.

Some Standouts for the Pioneers Include:

Paris Jamison: Led the Pioneers in scoring with 23 and tallied 3 boards and 2 assists.

Cody Schneider: Had 19 points and 6 rebounds. Schneider also had a productive day on defense, tallying 4 steals on the game.

The Pioneers play again at home against Penn.- St. Altoona on Saturday, February 4 at 2 p.m.
