Pioneers Tripped up at Farmingdale

Eight different Rams scored as Farmingdale State defeated Alfred State 17-2 on Monday afternoon.

Connor McAvoy scored five goals and James Ragland recorded a hat trick for the Rams who led 5-1 after the 1st quarter, 7-1 at half, and 11-1 after the 3rd.

Joe Johnson (Churchville) scored in the 1st quarter while Eric Passeck (Thomaston, CT) scored in the 4th after getting a pass from Brandon Dickson (Bath Haverling). 

Farmingdale outshot Alfred State 55 to 10 in the contest and forced the Pioneers into 32 turnovers. 

The Pioneers have a few days off before hosting SUNY Poly on Sunday. Opening face-off is at 1 p.m. at Pioneer Stadium.
