All-AMCC Lacrosse Selections - Joe Johnson, AJ Soto, and Scott Fingar

Johnson, Soto, and Fingar Earn All-AMCC Honors

Joe Johnson (Churchville), AJ Soto (Churchville), and Scott Fingar (Penn Yan) have been selected to the 2019 All-AMCC lacrosse team. The selections were made by the coaching staffs of the four teams that compete in the AMCC.

Johnson capped a solid four-year career by leading the Pioneers in scoring. He netted 29 goals and passed career high 17 assists. Johnson scored in 12 of the team's 13 games and recorded hat tricks in six games. Versus Medaille he had a season best five goals and three assists. During the season, Johnson hit two career milestones. He scored his 150th career goal in a victory over Elmira (he finished with 155 career goals) and then recorded his 200th point a few day's later vs. La Roche (he finished with 207 points).

Soto was the Pioneers second leading scorer. He scored 24 goals and passed out six assists this season and now has 57 career goals and 34 assists. Soto scored in 10 of the 13 games and recorded four hat tricks. He finished the season strong with a four goal performance vs. La Roche and a five goal game vs. Hilbert. 

Fingar started in all 13 games on the defensive side of the ball. He picked up 45 ground balls to go along with two assists and 19 caused turnovers. In his three years he has 99 career ground balls and 42 forced turnovers.

The Pioneers finished 3-1 in AMCC play this season and were the runner-up for the third straight season. The team finished 5-8 overall.
