Early Goal Stands up for Houghton

The Alfred State men's soccer team lost a hard fought 1-0 battle at Houghton on Saturday afternoon.

Ben Dicrasto scored the lone goal of the game on a free kick from just outside the box 4:10 into the game.

The Alfred State defense did a good job keeping the game 1-0 as Houghton collected 23 shots on the game and had 13 corner kick opportunities. Alfred State was limited to just two 2nd half shots in the game.

Nico Coria (Honeoye Falls Lima) made nine saves for the Pioneeers. 

The Pioneers are back home on Wednesday when they host SUNY Poly in a 4:30 p.m. contest at Pioneer Stadium.
