The Alfred State men's soccer team wrapped up the home portion vs. Penn State Behrend on Wednesday evening. The Lions, ranked #20 in NCAA Division III, earned a 3-1 victory to improve to 15-1 on the year.
The Lions scored in the 22nd and 41st minute to take a two-goal advantage into halftime. They added an insurance goal just over five minutes into the 2nd half.
Ade Adesanya (Brooklyn/Progress) got the blue & gold on the board in the 79th minute when he scored his second of the season on a penalty kick.
Nico Coria (Honeoye Falls Lima) made six stops in net while Matt Warnaka made three for the Lions.
The Pioneers will play their final two games of the season on the road. The team travels to Mt. Aloysius on Saturday for a 1 p.m. contest.
