Austin Miller (Hornell) and Ethan Dale (Lock Haven, PA) lead the Alfred State men's swimming & diving honorees on the 2018-19 All-AMCC Team. The Pioneers finished 2nd at last week's AMCC Championships. It was the second time in the last three years that the men have finished as AMCC Runner-Ups.
Alfred State divers Sarah Stevens (Wellsville) and Austin Miller (Hornell) have been named the AMCC Divers of the Week. Both Stevens and Miller are earning the weekly honor for the 4th time this season.
For the second time in three years, the Alfred State men's swimming and diving team finished 2nd at the AMCC Championships.The Pioneers scored 421 points over the four day event held at Penn State Behrend.
The Alfred State men's swimming & diving team earned College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-American team honors for the 5th straight semester. Teams were selected by the CSCAA’s Scholar All-America committee on the basis of their Fall grade point averages and represent 16,502 student-athletes.
The Alfred State swimming & diving Pioneer Invitational scheduled for this weekend (1/19) has been pushed back a week due to forecasted winter weather and will now be held on January 27th. The action is slated to begin at 1 p.m. in the Orvis Activities Center pool with diving starting at approximately 4 p.m. at Alfred University.
The Alfred State swimming and diving team closed out the 2018 portion of their season with a stellar performance at the three-day Fredonia Invitational. In total the team had 134 season best times, 75 personal best times, and broke 13 school records.
The Alfred State swimming and diving team completed a big weekend at the three-day Fredonia Blue Devil Invitational. The women's team finished 4th with 523 points while the men were 5th with 417 points.
