Miller and Walker Named AMCC Athletes of the Week

Austin Miller (Hornell) and Matt Walker (Kenmore West) have been named the AMCC Swimmer and Diver of the Week.

Walker won the 1000 free in 10:42.99, the 100 back in 56.86 vs. Pitt Bradford on Friday. He also was part of the winning 200 medley relay team (1:41.42) and the 200 free relay team (1:31.88). In the Nazareth tri-meet, which featured a short course meter format, he won the 800 freestyle in 9:11.69, 200 IM in 2:18.04, and the 100 breast in 1:08.58.

Miller set new school records at the Nazareth tri-meet on the 1m diving board by finishing 2nd with 267.35 points and on the 3m board with a 4th place finish with 198.40 points.

Franciscan's Colleen Farabaugh was named the AMCC female swimmer of the week.

The Pioneer men were 2-1 last week and host the Pioneer Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
