Alfred State Men's Swimming & Diving Dominates Home Meet

The Alfred State men's Swimming and Diving Team won today's meet against conference rival Penn.- St. Behrend. The Pioneer men's swim team took first place in 13 out of the 14 swimming events, for a winning score of 213-87.

A standout event was Avenn Toledo (San Diego, CA) breaking his own 1000 yard freestyle record with a 10:18.38 time. Another impressive performance from Luca Aldewereld (Cleveland, OH) when he won the 50 yard freestyle sprint by almost two seconds with a time of 21.79 seconds.

The Men's Diving took first place in the 1m and 3m diving portions of the meet. Conor Compton (Rexford, NY) broke his own record in the 1m dive with a score of 282.85. The score is good enough for his first NCAA qualifying score, he needs one more to officially qualify.

The Alfred State Women's Swimming and Diving team is back in action next weekend at home against Penn.- State Altoona on November 5.
