Track Season Continues at Cortland

The Alfred State men's outdoor track & field team had several impressive performances at the Cortland Friday Night Under the Light Invitational. 

Derek Stein led the way with a strong performance in the high jump. Stein finished tied for 1st in the event with a leap of 1.86 m.

Jacob Wadsworth (Dansville) was 3rd in the 400 hurdles (57.90) and 3rd in the long jump (6.78 m) to lead the way. He was also part of the 4x100 relay team that finished 4th. In that race he teamed with Cameron Howard (Brockport), Jordan Stauffer (LeRoy), and Corey Seymour to finish in 45.55. Stauffer was 4th also 4th in the long jump (6.37 m) and Howard was also 6th in the 100 (11.42) and 7th in the 200 (23.45).

Jesse Johnson was 4th in the high jump (1.78 m), Jacob Drew (Corning Painted Post) was 5th in the 800 (2:05.46), Bryce Chapman (Geneseo) was 5th in the javelin (39.25), and Zion Ponder was 8th in the long jump (6.28 m)

The blue & gold return to Pioneer Stadium to compete in the Alfred Invitational. Action is slated to begin at 2 p.m.
