Perlino Qualifies for AARTFC in Weight Throw at Susquehanna Invitational

Dylan Perlino (Holland) finished third in the weight throw and qualified for the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Championships at the Susquehanna Invitational in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania on Saturday.

Perlino (Holland) hit an AARTFC mark of 15.81 meters (51-10.5) which is over a one-meter personal best and puts him second on the Alfred State All-Time list. He also took 12th in shot put with a throw of 12.75 meters (41-10).

The men's 4x200 meter relay of Zach Rudewicz-Nepokroeff (Williamsville East), Cameron Howard (Brockport), Esaias Brumfield (Warners/West Genesee) and Shawn Rosa (Middletown) placed fourth with a time of 1:37.67.

Gavin Bathgate (East Rochester) finished fifth in the 5000-meters with a four second personal best of 15:40.64. He shaved three seconds off his 3000-meter personal best and finished fifth in 9:03.76.

Jeremy Pennock was seventh in the mile with a 15 second personal best of 5:22.10.

Jesse Johnson (Horseheads) placed eighth in high jump with a height of 1.84 meters (6-0.5).

Rudewicz-Nepokroeff was 11th in long jump with 6.23 meters (20-5.25).

Rosa finished 14th in the 400-meter in 54.28.

Derek Walter (Lancaster) in the 400-meters (55.11).

James Olson in shot put (11.46 meters (37-7.25)).

Wilfredo Rodriguez (Middletown) in shot put (9.83 meters (32-3)).

Jeff Jijy (New Hyde Park) in the mile (5:48.35).

The Pioneers will compete at the Nazareth Conference Tune-up on Friday, February 18 starting at 3:30 p.m.
