Bathgate Places 8th in 5000-Meters, Runs Personal Best at Championships
Gavin Bathgate (East Rochester) finished eighth in the 5000-meter race at the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday hosted by Nazareth College.
Bathgate ran a 15:25.53 which is a 15 second personal best and is also the second fastest time in indoor program history.
The previous Pioneer owner of the second place slot was Dave Hancock who ran a 15:34.5 back in 1979.
