Men’s Track and Field Wrap up Jim Taylor Invitational

The men's track and field team wrapped up the Jim Taylor Invitational hosted by Susquehanna on Saturday to open their outdoor season.

After breaking his own record in hammer on Day 1, Dylan Perlino (Holland) won discus with a throw of 48.64m (159-7). He is currently ranked third in Division III for discus. 

Zach Rudewicz-Nepokroeff (Williamsville East) finished 5th in long jump in 6.24m (20-5 ¾).

The 4x100-meter relay of Cameron Howard (Brockport), Shawn Rosa (Middletown), Rudewicz-Nepokroeff and Esaias Brumfield (Warners/West Genesee) finished 7th in 44.84.

Gavin Bathgate (East Rochester) placed 8th in the 10,000-meters in 33:17.88 and 17th in the 5,000-meters in 15:47.20.

Rosa was 10th in the 400-meters in52.85.

Jesse Johnson (Horseheads) finished 11th in high jump in 1.80m (5-10 ¾).

Derek Walter (Lancaster) was 13th in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:01.05.

The Pioneers head to Geneseo for a two-day meet starting on Friday, April 1.
