Men’s Track and Field Compete at St. John Fisher Cardinal Classic

The Alfred State men's track and field team competed at the St. John Fisher Cardinal Classic on Saturday.

Dylan Perlino (Holland) won discus and set the facility record of 51.17m. He is now currently 4th in the nation in discus. He also took 2nd in hammer with a throw of 48.01m.

The 4x100-meter relay of Zach Rudewicz-Nepokroeff (Williamsville East), Shawn Rosa (Middletown), Ryan Henderson, and Esaias Brumfield (Warners/West Genesee) placed fourth in 44.06.

The 4x400-meter relay of Ja'mil Horner (Dansville), Brumfield, Cameron Howard (Brockport), and Derek Walter (Lancaster) were 8th in 3:48.74.

The 4x800-meter relay of Brian Clark (Bethpage), Kyle Brown (Dryden), Ethan Kuhn (Kendall), and Andrew Hvisdak placed 3rd in 9:00:69.

Gavin Bathgate (East Rochester) placed 3rd in the 5000-meters in 15:41.55, and 5th in the 10,000-meters in 32:48.63, qualifying for the All-Atlantic Regional Track & Field Championships.

Walter placed 4th in the 110-meter hurdles in 16.92, and 2nd in the 400-meter hurdles in 58.06.

Kuhn placed 10th in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:02.29 while Brown placed 12th in 1:02.90.

Clark finished 8th in the 800-meters in 2:05.93 while Hvisdak placed 11th in 2:07.23.

Brumfield finished 5th in the 100-meters with 11.36.

Rudewicz-Nepokroeff finished 4th in the 200-meters in 23.04, 10th in long jump with 6.18m.

Jesse Johnson (Horseheads) placed 5th in high jump with the height of 1.80m, 8th in long jump with a jump of 6.23m.

James Olson placed 13th in shot put with a distance of 10.62m, 10th in discus with a throw of 33.64m, and 10th in hammer in 35.37m.
