Perlino Sets Two CSAC Record at Championships

The Alfred State men's track and field team competed at the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Championships on Saturday in Alfred, N.Y.

Dylan Perlino (Holland) set two new conference records after winning discus with a throw of 52.25m and winning hammer throw with 52.53m. His throw in discus ranks him third in the nation for NCAA Division III.

Gavin Bathgate (East Rochester) won the 10,000-meters with an impressive time of 35:16:75.

Andrew Hvisdak (Hamburg) placed 6th in the 1500-meters with a time of 4:28:11 while Brian Clark (Bethpage) placed 7th with a time of 4:31:68.

Two athletes placed in the pole vault with Austin Miller (Hornell) placing 5th with a height of 3.05m and Daniel Pfluger placing 6th at 2.45m.

Moses Pedroso (Clifton Park) placed 6th in the triple jump with a jump of 10.88m and Isaac Rivet (Waterford) placed 7th in 10.75m.

The Pioneers had four athletes qualify in the 100-meters; Esaias Brumfield (Warners) in 11.18, Zach Rudewicz-Nepokroeff (Williamsville) in 11.24, Ryan Henderson (Mount Vernon) in 11.29, and Cameron Howard (Brockport) in 11.62.

In the 200-meters race, Rudewicz-Nepokroeff qualified in 22.47, Brumfield in 22.96, and Henderson in 23.68.

The Pioneers will wrap up the CSAC Championship tomorrow starting at 10 a.m.
