Bathgate Races for Final Time in College Career
The Pioneers Men's Track and Field Team was at Nazareth today for a meet that began at 5:30 p.m. Today was the last race in Gavin Bathgate's illustrious collegiate career.
Highlights from today:
Gavin Bathgate went out with a signature mile run. In the mile run event, Bathgate finished in fifth place. He finished with a time of 4:35.16, less than nine seconds behind the first-place finisher Alec Glazier from the University of Rochester.
Esaias Brumfield raced in the 60m. His tenth-place finish came from a .01 second quicker finish than the finisher behind him. Brumfield finished in 7.28 seconds.
Shawn Rosa finished in tenth place of the 300m with a time 37.02.
Zach Rudewicz-Nepokroeff came in eleventh place in the long jump. He had a best jump of 6.52.
The Pioneers' next meet is on January 21, at Brockport.
