Florczak Wins 60m in RIT Meet

The Alfred State Men's Track and Field team competed today in the Friday RIT tune-up. 

Some Standouts for the Pioneers include:

The Alfred State relay team of Nicholas Florczak, Zach Rudewicz-Nepokroeff, Derek Walter and Esaias Brumfield placed first in the men's 800 relay with a time of 1:35.65. The Pioneers beat out the Alfred University roster by 3 tenths of a second.

Nicholas Florczak: He ran the men's 60m dash and finished in 2nd place in the first preliminary event. He finished with a time of 7.25 seconds. In the final of the 60m Florczak placed 1st with a time of 7.22. He won the event by one hundredth of a second.

Jacob Rightmyer: Rightmyer ran the 1mile event and finished in 11th place with a time of 4:45.76.

Brian Clark: Clark ran the men's 1000 and placed 5th behind 4 Division 1 runners. He finished with a time of 2:49.38

Jesse Johnson: Placed 6th in the pole vault with a height of 1.81m.

Dylan Perlino: In the weight throw, Perlino placed 2nd behind a Cornell competitor. His throw of 16.91m beat out a Binghamton athlete by two hundredths of a meter.

The Pioneers compete again next week at Susquehanna.
