Johnson and Florczak Qualify for AARTFC

The Alfred State Men's Track and Field Team competed at the Brockport Outdoor Invitational today. 

Jesse Johnson and Nick Florczak both qualified for the AARTFC's in their events. Johnson qualified for the high jump with a height of 1.91m. Johnson's jump was good enough for 4th place in the event. Florczak, a first-year athlete, competed in the 100m dash and finished in 11.06 seconds. He finished in 2nd place by 1-tenth of a second. 

Nicholas Florczak, Zach Rudewicz-Nepokroeff, Shawn Rosa and Esaias Brumfield competed in the 4x100 relay and placed 4th with a time of 43.25 seconds.

Eddie Scroxton competed in the 800 and finished 4th with a time of 1:59.02. Shawn Rosa came in 2nd place in the 200m with a time of 22.59.

Derek Walter, Brian Clark, Eddie Scroxton and Jacob Rightmyer competed in the 4x400 relay and placed 4th. The team finished with a time of 3:27.90.

Aden Alexander competed in the triple jump and placed 7th with a distance of 12.54m.

Dylan Perlino competed in the shot put and placed 2nd with a throw of 13.85m. Perlino also competed in the hammer throw and placed 3rd with a top throw of 50.89m. Perlino won his best event, the discus throw with a top throw of 48.01m.

Derek Walter had a javelin throw of exactly 43m and placed 6th in the event. 

The Pioneer team is back in action on April 22, as they head to the University of Rochester.
