Pioneers Finish AARTFC; Place 26th; Johnson Wins High Jump

The Alfred State Men's Track and Field Team finished their regional competition at the AARTFC at Susquehanna today. The Pioneers placed 26th out of the 64 schools at the event.

Jesse Johnson won the high jump event with a best jump of 2.01m. He tied for the best jump with an athlete from St. John Fisher. Johnson's 2.01m jump beat out 2nd place by five-hundredth's of a meter.

Dylan Perlino placed 5th in the hammer throw. Perlino's best throw was 56.11m on his 5th attempt.

Derek Walter ran the 400m hurdles and placed 30th overall with a time of 58.79 seconds.

The Pioneers traveled to the AARTFC Event at Susquehanna today, for the first day of the regional.

The 4x100m relay team of Nicholas Florczak, Zach Rudewicz-NepokroeffShawn Rosa and Esaias Brumfield finished in 11th place with a time of 43.08 seconds.

Nicholas Florczak finished in 34 overall in the 100m dash and 7th in his heat with a time of 11.27 seconds. 

Zach Rudewicz-Nepokroeff placed 19th in long jump with a best attempt of 6.41m.

Derek WalterBrian ClarkJacob Rightmyer and Shawn Rosa made up the Pioneer 4x400 team and they placed 12th with a time of 3:27.15 seconds.
