Cross Country opens season at Houghton

Gavin Bathgate (East Rochester, NY) recorded a top ten finish as the Alfred State Men's Cross Country team opened up their 2022 campaign at Houghton on Thursday.

Bathgate crossed the finish line of the 5k course in 16:04.85 to earn 9th place. Andrew Hvisdak (Orchard Park, NY / Hamburg) was 43rd (17:07.57), Ethan Kuhn (Kendall, NY) was 70th (18:09.59), Aiden Bonomo (Manalapan, NJ) was 88th (19:25.39), and Kyle Brown (Dryden, NY) rounded out the top five with an 89th place finish (19:32.07). 

Eight teams and 102 athletes competed in the race.

Alfred State returns to action on September 17th when they travel to the University of Rochester.
