The Alfred State softball team was limited to just seven hits in a doubleheader vs. Geneseo on Tuesday afternoon. The Knights earned 4-0 and 10-1 victories.
Geneseo scored two runs in the 2nd and added two insurance runs in the 5th in the opener. Courtney McDaniel (Arkport) was 2 for 3 in the game for the Lady Pioneers.
In the nightcap, the Lady Pioneers took an early lead following a RBI single by Stormi Kruger (Medina). The Knights answered with five run in the 2nd inning to take control of the game. Lura O'Keefe (Allegany Limestone) collected a double in the game.
The doubleheader was originally scheduled to be played at Alfred State but wet field conditions forced the game to be moved to Geneseo. The Pioneers were the home team in both games.
The Lady Pioneers head to Pitt-Bradford on Thursday for a 3 p.m. doubleheader with the Panthers.
