Kruger Named All-American

Alfred State junior shortstop Stormi Kruger (Medina) has been named an USCAA All-American for the third straight season. Kruger was a honorable mention selection and becomes the first Pioneer student-athlete to earn All-American honors from the USCAA three times.

Kruger led the Lady Pioneers with a .400 batting average (36 for 90). She collected six doubles, five triples, one homer and drove in 27 runs. She collected ten multi hit games and had three hits in a contest twice. 

Versus Delhi, Kruger was 4 for 6 with a double, triple, a homer, and 8 RBI in the doubleheader. She also was 4 for 7 with six runs in a doubleheader at vs. Medaille, was 3 for 4 with 3 RBI in game two vs. St. Lawrence, and was 3 for 4 with 2 RBI in game one at SUNY Canton.

For her three year career she is hitting .409 (115 for 281) with 16 doubles, 11 triples, and 4 HR. She has driven in 68 and has scored 74 runs.

Kruger, who is also a member of the women's soccer team, is the 11th Alfred State athlete to be named USCAA All-American during the 2015-16 school year.
