Men 4th, Women 5th at JCC Spring Invite

The Alfred State men's swimming team finished 4th out of six teams at the Jamestown CC Spring Invitational.  The women's team finished 5th.

Mark Pendelton (Beacon) led the way by winning the 1650 free (19:37.51), finishing 2nd in the 200 IM (2:20.26), and finishing 3rd in the 100 breast (1:13.54).

Tyler Easterbrook (Bath) was 2nd in the 500 free (5:46.23), 4th in the 200 free (2:06.44) and 5th in the 100 free (58.16).  Josh McDowell (Wayland Cohocton) was 3rd in the 100 free (57.88) and Jake Drew (Victory) was 5th in the 500 free (6:03.47).

The male quartet finished 3rd in the 400 free relay (3:57.20) and 4th in the 400 medley relay (4:23.82).

Maggie McBurney (Syracuse/Jamesville Dewitt) was 5th in the 200 free (2:41.19), 5th in the 200 IM (3:00.44).

The men scored 166 points on the day while the women scored 26.

Alfred State has a few days off before heading to the Region III/Northeast Districts on Feb. 15th.
