Pioneer Swimming: District Day 2 Recap

Josh McDowell (Wayland Cohocton) led the Alfred State men's swimming team on day two of the Northeast/Region III Championships at Monroe CC.

McDowell was 5th in the 100 butterfly (1:01.52).  Mark Pendleton (Beacon) was 7th in the 200 free (1:58.69) and Tyler Easterbrook (Bath) was 11th in the 200 free (2:03.36).

McDowell, Pendleton, Easterbrook, and Jacob Drew (Victor) combined to finish 4th in the 200 medley relay (1:52.49).

Maggie McBurney (Syracuse/Jamesville Dewitt) was 7th in the 200 free (2:36.31) and 9th in the 100 back (1:24.01).

The Championships conclude on Sunday with prelims starting at 9 a.m. and the finals starting at 3:30 p.m.
