Men 6th, Women 8th at Swim Districts

The Alfred State men's swimming team finished 6th out of eleven teams while the women's team was 8th out of nine teams at the Northeast/Region III Championships over the weekend.  The men scored 150 points while the women scored 15.

Mark Pendleton (Beacon) was 3rd in the 1650 free (18:53.61), Jacob Drew (Victor) was 7th in the 200 back (2:19.55), and Josh McDowell (Wayland Cohocton) was 8th in the 100 free (54.85), and Tyler Easterbrook (Bath) was 12th in the 100 free (56.62).

The quartet also finished 5th in the 400 free relay in 3:42.46.

Monroe CC won both the men's and women's titles.

Alfred State will next compete at the NJCAA National Championships held at the Flickenger Center in downtown Buffalo on March 3-6.
