Swimming Nationals: Pioneers in 13th place

The Alfred State men's swimming team sits in 13th place after competition on Thursday. The Pioneers have scored 66 points in the competition.

The 200 free relay team of Josh McDowell (Wayland Cohocton), Jacob Drew (Victor), Tyler Easterbrook (Bath), and Mark Pendleton (Beacon) finished 11th overall in 1:38.22.

The 400 medley relay team finished 11th as well in 4:01.73 which was nearly a ten second improvement from their seed time.

Easterbrook picked up two points in the 500 free with a 23rd place finish. He completed the race in 5:24.00.

Competition continues tomorrow at Erie CC's Flickenger Center with prelims at 10 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m.
