Strong 2nd Half Leads Lady Pioneers past Pitt-Titusville

The Alfred State women's basketball team shot 57% from the field in the 2nd half and finished the game on a 35-14 run in a 76-55 victory over Pitt-Titusville.  The Lady Pioneers improve to 6-10 on the year.

The blue & gold led 33-18 at half but the Panthers tied it up at 41-41 early in the 2nd half before the Pioneers went on their game deciding run.

Jennifer Fedrick (Buffalo/Bennett) led the Lady Pioneers with 21 points and eight rebounds whileBriana Meehan (Whitesville) finished with 16 points.  Marcedes Caver (Cleveland, OH) finished with 15 points and five boards, Destiny Brito (Manhattan/Park West) chipped in seven points, 10 boards, and five steals, and Steffanie Preston (Groton) came off the bench and added five points.

Alfred State has over a week off before heading to SUNY Canton on Feb. 8th for a 2 p.m. tip-off with the Kangaroos.
