Lady Pioneers Ranked #10 in First USCAA Poll

The Alfred State women's basketball team is ranked #10 in the first USCAA Division I basketball poll. The Lady Pioneers ended the 2014 portion of their season with a 5-3 mark.

Alfred State is led by Haley Witchella (Oxford) who leads USCAA Division I with 15.5 rebounds per game to go along with 19.4 points per game.  Briana Meehan (Whitesville) has connected on 24 three-pointers and is averaging 11 ppg while Helena Covington (Elmira Free) is averaging 7 ppg and 7.6 rpg.

Concordia-Alabama, the defending national champion, sits on the top spot of the debut poll followed by Indiana-South Bend, Carlow, University of Dallas, Iowa Wesleyan, Silver Lake, Apprentice, St. Joseph's-Brooklyn, Berea, and Alfred State. 

The Lady Pioneers have a few weeks off before returning to the hardwood on January 8th when they host SUNY IT.
