The Alfred State women's basketball team cruised to its 7th straight victory on Thursday, 64-26 over Pitt-Titusville. The Lady Pioneers are now 12-4 on the year.
Every Lady Pioneer scored in the contest and a trio finished in double figures. Haley Witchella (Oxford) led the way with 16, Steffanie Preston (Groton) came off the bench and had 12, and Hannah Carlson (Lynbrook) chipped in 10.
Alfred State jumped out to a 29-6 lead at the break and never looked back. They shot 52.2.% for the contest.
The Lady Pioneers will look to add to their winning streak on Saturday when they travel to SUNY Canton for a 1 p.m. tip-off with the Kangaroos.
