Five Lady Pioneers scored in double figures as Alfred State raced past Paul Smith's College 87-29 in the consolation game of the Albany Pharmacy Tournament. The Lady Pioneers are now 1-1 on the year.
Steffanie Preston (Groton) led the Lady Pioneers with 14 points while Joselyn Johnson (Geneva) and Michayla Salatel (Geneseo) both chipped in 12. Jackie Lieb (Hornell) and Breana Gleaton (Waldorf, MD) both finished with 10.
The Lady Pioneers scored 26 points in both the 1st and 2nd quarters to take full control of the game.
Lieb, who scored 10 in each game of the tournament, was named to the all-touranment team.
The blue & gold are back on the court on Tuesday when they head down I86 to battle Pitt-Bradford. Tip-off is slated for 8 p.m.
