Three Lady Pioneers scored in double figures as the Alfred State women's basketball team defeated Davis College 66-48 on Tuesday evening. The Lady Pioneers have now won four straight and are 4-2 on the year.
Breana Gleaton (Waldorf, MD) led the Lady Pioneers with 20 points. Catherine Bialecki (Alfred Almond) finished with 13 points and Steffanie Preston (Groton) added 10 points. Kimberly Levee (Dansville) chipped in nine.
The Lady Pioneers led 15-8 after the 1st and then expanded their lead to 34-14 at the half.
The blue & gold return home for a rematch vs. Houghton on Thursday. The Pioneers fell to the Highlanders in the opening contest (76-56) for both teams. Opening tip-off at the Orvis Activities Center is slated for 5:30 p.m. (please note new start time).
