Gibson Earns ACAA Honor
Alfred State junior basketball player Janae Gibson (Bronx/Pelham Prep) has been named the ACAA Women's Basketball Player of the Week after a solid opening week for the Pioneers.
Gibson shot 56.7% (17 for 30) and averaged 21.5 points and 12.5 rebounds in two games as the Pioneers opened up their season. She had 26 points and 19 rebounds vs. Villa Maria and had 17 points and six boards vs. Medaille.
Gibson and the Pioneers are right back in action tonight when they travel to Keuka for a 7 p.m. contest
Payton Dean from Delhi was honored on the men's side.
