Anderson Named 1st Team All-ACAA

Alfred State junior guard Rayanna Anderson (Wellsville) has been named All-ACAA 1st team following an all-around solid season.

Anderson started at point guard in all 24 of the Pioneers games this year. She connected on 62 three-point attempts on the season and scored a team high 304 points (12.7 ppg). She also passed out 144 assists (6 apg), grabbed 93 rebounds, and was credited for 32 steals. She had a season high 27 points (9 three-pointers) at Villa and then recorded a triple-double with 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 13 assists in the rematch vs. the Vikings. In 14 games, Anderson finished with 10 or more points including a stretch in which she finished in double-figures in 11 of 12 games.

In three of her games she passed out 10 or more assists and she set a new single game NCAA Era record when she passed out 13 assists vs. Villa Maria. She also passed out 13 assists days later in a victory at Pine Manor.

For her career, Anderson has 529 points (94 three-pointers), 276 assists, and 70 steals.

Madison Temple (Thomas More) was named the ACAA Player of the Year, Jhanel Brown (Valley Forge) was named the Defensive Player of the Year, and Katie Lundeen (Finlandia) was named the Rookie of the Year. Jeff Hans of Thomas More was named the Coach of the Year.
