Jordyn Pettit (Wellsville) led Alfred State with 17 points as Alfred State battled Pitt Greensburg on a snowy Saturday afternoon. The Bobcats led throughout in the 81-56 victory.
Pettit finished the day with 17 points and eight boards to lead the Pioneers. Skylar Shaulis (Ovid/South Seneca) added 11 points while Rayanna Anderson (Wellsville) finished with eight points and 11 assists.
Shaquoia McCray had a monster day with 16 points and 16 rebounds. Colleen Murphy also scored 16, Nadege Duran had 12 points and 10 rebounds, and Cat Golihugh chipped in 12.
UPG led 18-9 after the 1st quarter and was able to add to their lead each quarter. The Bobcats shot 42.9% and held the Pioneers to 36.2% shooting. They also forced the blue & gold into 16 turnovers.
The Pioneers are right back on the court on Monday when they host Penn State Altoona at 4 p.m.
