Pioneers Win Against Wells

The Alfred State Women's Basketball team traveled to Wells and won 75-41. The Pioneer win is their second of the season.

The Blue and Gold took a ten-point lead midway through the first quarter and did not look back. The Pioneers gradually increased their lead throughout the game, never losing control. The Pioneers were up 28-12 after the first quarter and 50-21 at the half. Alfred State shot 47.2% from the field and outrebounded Wells 63-30.

Faith McCombs (Amityville, NY / Copaigue) was the team's leader on offense. McCombs scored a game-high 22 points and she shot 11-13 from the field. McCombs was a dominant force on the boards all game, tallying an outrageous 22 rebounds. Jenna George (Dansville, NY / Dansville) was second on the team with 16 points. She shot 8-19 from the field and had three steals.

The Pioneers are back in action on December 17, when they face off against Medaille.
