Seven Pioneers Earn ECWC All-Academic Honors

Seven members of the Alfred State wrestling team have earned Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference All-Academic team honors.

• Gordon Trahan (Canajoharie) holds a 4.00 GPA in Agricultural Technology
• Michael Boyle (Cooperstown) holds a 3.71 GPA in Accounting
• Brad Haggerty (Wellsville) holds a 3.48 GPA in Financial Planning
• Austin Parker (Port Byron) holds a 3.47 GPA in Architectural Technology
• Konnor Kremer (Horseheads) holds a 3.46 GPA in Electrical Engineering Technology
• Ryan Thierman (Portville) holds a 3.41 GPA in Application Software Development
• Ethan Livernash (Penfield) holds a 3.33 GPA in Construction Management

In total, 47 wrestlers were honored with All-Academic status. Recipients of this honor must have a 3.30 cumulative grade point average or higher (through the last eligible grading period of the current academic year) while completing an entire season as a member of a conference institution's wrestling team. Freshmen and transfers that have been enrolled full-time for at least one semester are eligible to receive this honor.

The Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference is made up of Alfred State, Brockport, Cortland, Ithaca, Lycoming, Oneonta, Oswego and Rochester Institute of Technology.
