Signorelli Attending NWCA Leadership Academy

Alfred State wrestling coach Justin Signorelli is attending the NWCA Leadership Academy this week in Daytona Beach, FL. Signorelli was selected to attend the annual academy that helps coaches sharpen their leadership skills.

The NWCA Leadership Academy is a full scholarship program designed to help coaches strengthen their CEO skills (fundraising, marketing, promotions, communication, general leadership, etc.) and promote best practices for improving retention and graduation rates.  

Attendees are required to complete a ten-part online course prior to their arrival. The two-day event features workshops that allow coaches to engage in group discussions with their peers and apply the concepts learned in the online courses to meet the needs of their wrestling program.

Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a mentoring program, receiving ongoing guidance from a seasoned veteran coach and/or athletic administrator selected by the NWCA.

Signorelli was hired as the Alfred State wrestling coach this summer and will begin his first season at the helm of the program this fall.
