Peterson Named ECWC Rookie of the Week
Sean Peterson (Islip) has been named the ECWC Rookie of the Week after claiming the 141 title at the Wildcat Open hosted by Johnson and Wales on Saturday.
Peterson went 4-0 on the day to be crowned champion. He opened up with a tech fall over Joshua Roberts (Johnson & Wales) (TF 15-0), won in sudden victory over 8-6 Anthony Martin (Coast Guard), and received a medical forfeit over Hayden Brown (Johnson & Wales) to advance to the finals. In the finals, he defeated Elijah Cyr (Castleton) 3-2 to claim the crown.
