The Alfred State Women's Soccer team opened the 2022 season against cross-county rival, Houghton University. The Pioneers fell 6-0.
The Highlanders scored three goals in the 1st and doubled their lead with three more in the second.
A stand-out for the Pioneers was goalkeeper Sierra Schofield (Delran, NJ/ Delran). Fighting through hard contact plays the entire game, she recorded 10 saves in the match.
The team is back in action next Wednesday, September 7th in a battle with Medaille.
