Swimming & Diving Win Two More

The Alfred State women's swimming and diving team earned two more victories on Sunday afternoon. They defeated Wells 146-136 and Franciscan 110-102. The Pioneers are now 4-1 on the year.

Madison Snayczuk (Machias/Pioneer), Alyssa James (Pittsford Mendon), and Mikaela Snayczuk (Machias/Pioneer) all won three individual events to lead the way. Madison Snayczuk won the 200 free (2:07.21), the 50 free (25.66), and the 100 free (56.91), James won the 100 back (1:06.88), the 200 back (2:26.71), and the 500 free (5:48.94), and Mikaela Snayczuk won the 100 breast (1:12.70), the 200 breast (2:43.67), and the 200 IM (2:27.29).

Sarah Streeter (Byron Bergen) was 1st on the 3m board (131.65) and 2nd on the 1m (127) while Mackenzie Gillette (Elmira Notre Dame) was 2nd in the 200 fly (2:40.67) and 2nd in the 100 fly (1:10.75)

The 200 medley relay team of James, Mikaela Snayczuk, Gillette, and Olivia Eckstrom (Frewsburg) won in 2:00.28.

The Pioneers are back in the pool on Saturday when they travel to Penn State Altoona for a 1 p.m. AMCC battle with the Lions.
