Women's Swimming & Diving Finish 7th at Oberlin

The Alfred State women's swimming & diving team finished 7th at the Oberlin Invitational.

Mikaela Snayczuk (Machias/Pioneer) led the way on day three with a 4th place finish in the 200 breast (2:37.39). Snayczuk also teamed with her sister Madison Snayczuk (Machias/Pioneer), Alyssa James (Pittsford Mendon), and Gabriela Leite (Little Rock, AR) for a 7th place finish in the 400 free relay (3:51.41).

James was 8th in the 200 back (2:19.00), Madison Snayczuk was 9th in the 100 free (55.46), and Makenzie Gillette (Elmira Notre Dame) was 10th in the 200 fly (2:35.06).

On the 1m diving board, Sarah Streeter (Bryon Bergen) scored 235.10 for a 5th place finish.

Gillette's time of 2:33.18 in the prelims of the 200 fly set a new school record.

Alfred State scored 537 points during the three-day event.

The Pioneers will not compete again until 2022 when they battle in the Florida International University Invitational.
