Snayczuk Breaks Program Record, Women’s Swimming and Diving Beat Roberts Wesleyan
The Alfred State women's swimming and diving beat Roberts Wesleyan 133-57 and broke five pool records on Saturday at the Voller Athletic Center.
The Pioneers finish their regular season with a 6-2 record.
Madison Snayczuk (Machias/Pioneer) set a program record and broke the pool record in the 50-yard free with a time of 25.20.
Snayczuk also set a pool record in the 100-yard free with a time of 56.27 and was part of the winning 400-yard medley relay which included Alyssa James (Pittsford Mendon), Mikaela Snayczuk (Machias/Pioneer) and Mackenzie Gillette (Elmira Notre Dame). The relay won in a time of 4:21.46 which is also a new pool record.
Mikaela Snayczuk broke the pool record in the 200-yard IM (2:21.41) and the 100-yard breaststroke (1:11.20).
Other top performers:
- Alina Kisluk (Hamburg) won the 1000-yard free (13:03.49).
- Gabriela Leite (Little Rock, AR) won the 200-yard free (2:12.98).
- Sarah Streeter (LeRoy/Byron Bergen) won the 1-meter diving (139.28).
- James won the 100-yard backstroke (1:05.61) and the 500-yard free (5:45.68).
- The 200-yard free relay of Leite, Sydney Koob (Plainwell, MI), Sarah Konyndyk (Grand Rapids, MI) and Gillette won with a time of 1:52.62.
The women are back in action Wednesday, Feb. 16 for the start of the AMCC Championships at the Webster Aquatics Center.
