400 Medley, James Break Program Records on Day 3 at Championships

The Alfred State women's swimming & diving team sits in second in the AMCC and are fourth overall with 417.5 points after day three at the Allegheny Empire Swimming & Diving Championships.

The 400-yard medley relay of Alyssa James (Pittsford Mendon), Mikaela Snayczuk (Machias/Pioneer), Mackenzie Gillette (Elmira Notre Dame) and Madison Snayczuk (Machias/Pioneer) broke the program record after placing fourth overall with a time of 4:11.04.

Alyssa James (Pittsford Mendon) broke the program record in the 100-yard backstroke after finishing third in 1:01.65.

Madison Snayczuk (Machias/Pioneer) tied for fourth in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:00.45.

Mackenzie Gillette finished sixth in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:06.25 while Gabriela Leite (Little Rock, AR) was tenth in 1:07.74.

Mikaela Snayczuk (Machias/Pioneer) placed fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:09.11.

The final day begins tomorrow at 10 a.m. with preliminary rounds, diving begins at approximately 11:30 a.m., and the finals start at 5:30 p.m.
