Pioneers Split Tri-Meet

The Alfred State Women's Swim and Dive team split today's tri-meet at Brockport. The Pioneers fell to Brockport 171-105 and defeated Fredonia 154-103. The Pioneer women had some standouts in todays tri-meet.

The team of Anna Ivery (Syracuse, NY / West Genesee High School), Mikaela Snayczuk (Machias, NY / Pioneer High School), Mallory O'Keefe (Brighton, CO / Stargate Charter School) and Madison Snayczuk (Machias, NY / Pioneer High School) won the 200-medley relay. The team of four also won the 400 free relay with a time of 3:47.48. Some of the four also won individual races. Mallory O'Keefe won the 1000 free by less than two seconds with a time of 11:21.56. Madison Snayczuk won the 50 free by three tenths of a second with a time of 25.64. Anna Ivery won the 100 free with a time of 55.13, edging Brockports finished by less than a second.

The Pioneers are back in action on Wednesday February 15, as they head to the AMCC Championships.
