Taggart Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

Emma Taggart (New Windsor, MD/Francis Scott Key) has earned 2020 All-Academic honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Taggart, who recently finished her first year at Alfred State as a Computer Information Systems major, was ranked 44th in NCAA DIII in the pentathlon during the indoor season. She recorded a season best and school record performance of 3,013 points at the AARTFC Championships. Taggart was 2nd at the AARTFC Championships with that performance which helped her earn USTFCCCA All-Region honors.

Overall, there were 477 women from 123 institutions who were named All-Academic Athletes. To be eligible for All-Academic honors, a student-athlete must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30 and have finished in the top 50 on the TFRRS performance event in their individual event.
