Women's Track and Field, Taggart and Perlino Named USTFCCCA All-Academic

The Alfred State women's track and field team, Emma Taggart (New Windsor) and Dylan Perlino (Holland) have been named U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic.

To be eligible teams must have a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.1 on a 4.0 scale through the most recent semester/quarter. Individuals must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale through the most recently completed grading period and also have to be among the top 50 individuals as listed on the descending order list on TFRRS.

The women's team GPA was a 3.24 and they were one of 150 teams honored.

Taggart is a Network Administration major and finished ranked 49th in the heptathlon with 3922 points.

Perlino is a Mechanical Engineering major and finished ranked fifth in discuss with 52.82m and 33rd in hammer with 54.33m.

Overall, there were more than 1,000 athletes who were named All-Academic Athletes in NCAA Division III Track & Field.
