Pioneers Compete At Nazareth

The Pioneers Women's Track and Field Team was at Nazareth today for a meet that began at 5:30 p.m.

Highlights from today:

Emma Taggart finished the 60m hurdles in 9.78 seconds. After her school-record breaking run last week, she continued her stellar beginning to the season.

In the 500m Isabelle Popoff Sarah Rivet and Lily Schnell all finished next to each other. Separated by less than two seconds, the Pioneers finished in 12, 13, and 14 place. Popoff finished with a time of 1:27.41, Rivet finished with a time of 1:27.91 and Schnell finished with a time of 1:28.87.

In the 4x200 the Pioneers finished in 5 place. Lawery Edwards () Emma Taggart, Sarah Rivet and Alexis Clark ran a time of 1:55.66.

Tobi Adebowale had a seventh-place day in the weight throw. Her score of 13.60 was less than one away then a top-five finish.

Sarah Daunce competed in the triple jump. Daunce's performance today gave her the sixth-place spot on Alfred State's all-time leaderboard.

The Pioneers' next meet is on January 21, at Brockport.
