Taggart Breaks Hurdle Record

The Alfred State Women's Track and Field team competed this weekend at the Brockport Multi & Invitational. Emma Taggart had another stellar weekend for the Pioneers. Taggart broke the school record for the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.60. Taggart also competed in the high jump and earned an AARTFC qualifying distance of 1.59. Her jump was tied for second in today's event.

Some other standouts for the Pioneers include:

Sarah Rivet: Rivet competed in the 400m race and finished in the top ten in 9 place. Her finishing time of 1:03.47 beat out the 10th place finisher by less than half a second.

Sarah Daunce: Daunce landed in 15th place in the women's triple jump with a distance of 9.67.

Laura Walter: Walter competed in the pole vault and scored a 2.45, good enough for 14th place.

The Pioneers compete again on Friday, February 10, at RIT.
